What is your logo message?
What is your logo message?
When thinking about the right logo, as with all marketing, the first step is to know your audience and know the message they need to hear.
Now for many owners a logo may have real personal meaning–a bit like a family herald. Often that is a great thing. But sometimes, the message that gets you up in the morning; the image that motivates you to do what you do with such pride is not necessarily the primary message your clients need to hear in order to buy!
My initial advice is to take a moment to step back and see your logo not as you see it, but as others will see it who don’t know you or your service at all. Try to take your own feelings and pride out of the equation. Ask yourself, what motivates them as much as what motivates you. Perhaps they’re one and the same. If not, you may want to think about a logo that is oriented more towards addressing their needs.
